My journey leads you to your path of freedom
I am passionate about helping people because I understand what it feels like to struggle with alcohol on a personal level. I know the challenges, the doubts, the habits, the emotions, and the internal battles that can come with wanting to change.
My own journey has given me a deeper understanding of how difficult it can be to break free from old patterns — but also how empowering it feels to take back control, rebuild confidence, and create a life that feels healthier, authentic, and joyous.
Now that I identify as a non-drinker I can honestly say that I find my life has more meaning and purpose. That purpose is to support others who feel stuck, help them understand their relationship with alcohol, give them practical tools to handle challenges, and show them that a better future is possible. If my journey can help someone else feel less alone and more confident in making a change, then sharing my experience has a meaningful impact.

Introducing Ruth: Your Alcohol-Free Coach
Hello, my friends. I'm so glad you're here.
My name is Ruth, and I am an accredited Life Coach specialising in Alcohol-Free Coaching.
This niche is incredibly close to my heart because it is rooted in my own personal experience. I know what it feels like to lose yourself in alcohol.
For a long time, drinking had become part of my routine and the way I dealt with life. By time I had turned 60 I had reached a point where I knew something had to change as alcohol was taking more from me than what it was giving. It was affecting my physical and mental health and I realised I wasn't truly happy. I was living a life that no longer felt aligned with who I wanted to be.
I began to question my relationship with alcohol, and as my mindset changed about drinking, I developed practical tools and strategies that helped me navigate life without drinking-these are the same tools and strategies I now share through my coaching programme.
Giving up drinking has given me greater clarity, confidence, freedom, and my health back. I have lost three stone since starting my alcohol-free journey, which has resulted in having gained even more energy. But most importantly, I have reconnected with my authentic self.
I will be celebrating my third soberversary on 11 September 2026 🎊🎈 I have achieved this by taking:
ONE DECISION. ONE DAY AT A TIME.
My coaching is based on the belief that you do not have to wait for a rock bottom to decide that you want something different. Whether you want to take a break, reduce your drinking or create an alcohol-free lifestyle, you deserve support throughout the process.
I know from personal experience that change is possible. My goal is to help you discover that for yourself.
You are not your past. You are not your drinking habits. You have the ability to create a fulfilling and happy future.
"Your story could be next"
My own personal journey has given me a deep understanding of the challenges people face when changing their relationship with alcohol. I know willpower alone does not work.
I understand that people need to feel heard, respected and supported before they can make lasting changes.
My strengths include listening without judgement, asking the right questions, encouraging self-reflection and helping people recognise their own strengths. I support clients in finding practical solutions that fit their individual lifestyle, rather than following a strict approach that doesn't feel realistic.
I believe that trust is built through honesty, compassion, and consistency. I do not coach from a place of perfection, but from a place of understanding, growth and experience.
"The biggest positive change I aim to help people achieve is freedom - freedom from feeling stuck in old patterns, freedom from guilt and shame, and freedom to make choices that feel aligned with the life they desire.
